I came with 4 kids, aged 2-11, and not sure they'd last the visit.  However, they absolutely loved it.  The displays are fascinating, the info pitched perfectly and the interaction generally interesting.  The best part was Crystal.  She was so enthusiastic that my 9 year old told me at the end, "I've now changed my life plan.  I'm going to be a fossil digger".
