Calling all artists! The Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center has teamed up The Kennedy Center's Imagination Celebration for the annual Prehistoric Poster Contest open to all ages.

This year's theme is "Bringing Dinosaurs to Life".  This is an opportunity to see how art and science shape our image of the past.  What color was a dinosaur?  How did they behave?  How do we know what they might have looked like?  What do we really know about these animals?  Winning entries will be displayed throughout various locations in Colorado Springs and Teller County.

Whether you are just learning how to draw, or you are an experienced artist this is a great chance to show off your talent and win some fantastic prizes! The contest is now underway and RMDRC will be accepting entries until May 29, 2007.

The school with the most percentage of participation will win a collection of dinosaur books for their school library.  The dinosaur books are valued at $500.1st place in each age group receives $50 gift cert. from our gift shop, 2nd receives $25, and 3rd receives $10.

Awards will be presented June 9, 2007 at the three year anniversary celebration at RMDRC by Paleo Artist Larry Felder.  Felder, whose artwork can be viewed at www.larryfelder.com, is also the co-author of "In the Presence of Dinosaurs."  Felder began drawing dinosaurs when he was four years old.  He has a degree in Fine Arts and Political Science from Montclair State College.  His work has appeared in many books and magazines in addition to a presence in private collections and museums around the country.

     The Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center is located at 201 S.
