Thank you to Tanner Cook for
suggesting this issue's
featured dinosaur!

The flat, bladelike spines of Spinosaurus' sail
were set on top of each vertebrae which were
huge -- 20% larger than T. rex. It may have
been able to spread its sail like a fan to
regulate body temperature or the sail could
have been used as a display during courtship.
Although other dinosaurs had sails no other
dinosaur has been found with such a tall sail.
Dimetrodon had a sail but it was not a dinosaur.
Spinosaurus' arms were larger than other
theropods and it may have occasionally walked
on all fours.

Dino Joke

Q. How do you know if a
dinosaur is under your bed?

A. Your nose touches
the ceiling!
