RMDRC News
July attendance has been incredible due in part to the
fantastic military turnout for a special offer of 1/2 price to military
personnel from July 3-5. We are looking at Veterans Day later this year for a
similar offer.
Outside the RMDRC, our traveling exhibit "Savage
Ancient Seas" has been keeping us busy on the road. Just last week, the exhibit
ended at the Museum of Idaho where it enjoyed large numbers of visitors during
its five month stay. From there, the exhibit traveled to the Las Vegas Museum of
Natural History where it will be staying until late September. The same exhibit
is also currently showing at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute
through October this year. This show has been traveling since 2000 and owes its
success to the uniqueness of the marine creatures on exhibit.
In closing, I hope all of you are enjoying your summer
and hopefully have the opportunity for a vacation to the Pikes Peak Region. Hope
to see you here!

Dinosaur News
If you haven't heard of "Leonardo", here is a great
article on the best preserved dinosaur ever discovered. Get the full
details
here.
Ok, not the most glamorous issue, but dinosaur "poop"
(known as Coprolites), can give a wealth of information to scientists. A
rather large donation has been recently given to a
Community College.

Lab & Field News
In the Lab, we are busy working on multiple international cast projects
that will keep us busy throughout the rest of the year. We also just finished
working on a major movie project where we supplied many of the cast specimens
used in the movie. This project was completed under the gun in just a few weeks
and in theaters in the Fall of 2007.
Out in the field, we are exploring South Dakota and
Montana properties over the next few weeks. No news of current discoveries but
an update will be posted in the next newsletter. Whatever we find will
definitely keep us busy through the later part of the year.
