Apr. 11, 2005 Visitors to the Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center will get a special treat April 16 and 17 as Colorado Gators returns. From noon to 5 pm each day, Colorado Gators will be presenting a large reptile demonstration. Guests to the RMDRC will include “Fluffy,” a 500 pound alligator, “Sir Kong,” a 100 pound alligator snapping turtle, “Dream,” a 10 foot albino python, “Nelson,” a large tortoise and many other wonderful creatures for an educational hands-on experience. The Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center is home to 20,000 square feet of dinosaur and marine reptile exhibits and a working paleontology lab. The Colorado Gators visit is an opportunity to see many of the current relatives of the dinosaurs and marine reptiles on exhibit at the Dinosaur Resource Center. Biology, behavior, ecological roles and similarities of reptiles to dinosaurs will also be discussed. Colorado Gators will be taking pictures of visitors with some of the reptiles. Proceeds from this go to exotic animal rescue efforts at Colorado Gators Reptile Park and Colorado Gators Reptilian Adventure in Colorado Springs.
