The following booths will at the DRC: NuVenture-3D Wildlife Pictures, Paws Co Adoptions-Rescue group, Larry Marsh-Teach, show and sell magic kits, Saving Dobermankind-Rescue group, AARF-Adoptable Animal Rescue Force, Riverside Studios-Animal themed art and sculptures, Colorado Feline Foster-Rescue group, TCRAS-Rescue group, Native Rains-Native art, Tops Stewardship Program-Skin and skulls booth showcasing native wildlife, All Breed Rescue & Training-Rescue group, Mueller State Park-Parks and wildlife information, Spirit Wolf Studios-Digital art, Mountain View Yogurt Plus-Yogurt booth, Kona Ice-40 flavors of shaved ice, Ideal Impressions-Fabric pictures, lights from cactus roots, paper crafting, Maid of Paint-Face painting & guitar music, Juice Plus-Juice booth, John Patterson-Dinosaur, astronomy and landscape art.
Adopt an animal and receive free admissions for a family of four to the museum to be used at a later date. Further details will be added. Keep checking our website for updates.
Aug 28 Sat., 1:00pm-2:30pm…Hocus Pocus with a Science Focus… This event is a grab bag of Science. Experience the excitement of illusions and become a Science Magician. Use science to amaze your friends! With a little of this and a little of that, it's fun for everyone!
Sept 4, Sat., 11:00-1:00…Small Animals Encounters…Join Joe and Tina from Small Animal Encounter and meet the smartest and cutest pig in town, pygmy goats and a mini chicken about the size of your hand. They teach you all about them, help you handle them, and some of them can even do tricks. Get to know these animals up close and have a unique, enlightening experience. This is family fun for all ages and is so much more than a petting zoo. We want you to experience how amazing and these creatures are!
Sept 6, Mon., 9:00am – 6:00pm…Labor Day…DRC is open all day.
Sept 18 Sat., 1:00pm-2:00pm…Storigami…Denise Gard…Discover how the ancient art of storytelling is combined with Orgami in this engaging workshop. Create 2-3 masterpieces to take home. You and your child will be mesmerized as you do this craft and see the shapes emerge as you put them in a story. Be sure and come at the start of the class so you do not miss anything.
Oct 16 Sat., 11:30am-3:00pm…Physics is Phun…Air Force Academy… Come learn about and have fun with electricity and magnetism, angular momentum and temperature/air pressure. Learn how this is related to lasers and eyeglasses! Watch demonstrations of visible examples of Newton's laws. This is a very fun and educational day for everyone. There will be interactive activities and a question and answer period in between and before and after the shows. Shows are at 11:30am and 2:00pm.
Oct 30, Sat., 1:00pm-3:00pm…Silly Stitches…Silly Stitches, the scarecrow, is trying once again to scare away the crows, but as usual he’s not having much luck. Everyone will laugh at Stitches’ silly Halloween stories and songs plus the kids will be able to take home a fun Halloween craft and treat bag. Be sure and wear your Halloween costume for the parade and costume contest after the show. Don’t forget to bring your camera!
Nov 6, Sat., 1:00pm-2:30pm…Mix and Fizz…Science Matters… A little of this, a little of that, some wild reactions is where it's at! Make a slushy treat to eat, create a fizzy bath bomb and see Soda Slobber. We will make water disappear and play with snow that never melts. You won't believe that our mixing fun can teach some science before it is done. With a pop, or a bang, or even some fizz, you have become a chemistry whiz!

Dec 11, Sat., 12:30pm-3:00pm…Who’s That With the Red Hat?…Mrs. Claus and Santa want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and invite you to join them for a “Merry” afternoon of Christmas joy. Santa will be hearing the children’s Christmas wishes and handing out candy canes. Mrs. Claus will delight everyone with her puppets, silly props and songs. After the show everyone will make a special Christmas craft to take home. You can also make a craft for our tree and hang it up. You don’t want to miss this special holiday celebration! The fun starts at 12:30pm. Bring your camera and take a picture of you in front of our tree with Mrs. Claus and Santa! Treat bags will be handed out to each child. 12:30pm visit with Santa & Mrs. Claus, 1:00pm show starts.

We will have our craft table available to make an ornament for our Christmas tree as well as one for yourselves. Join us for some Christmas fun! Included with museum admissions.
