About Us The Dinosaur Resource Center was established in 2004 as part of Triebold Paleontology INC.. We offer a variety of museum related services including fossil mounting, molding and casting, 3D scanning and printing, traveling exhibits, and more. Come visit us at our museum, the Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center in Woodland Park, Colorado, today. Our Story Mike Triebold founded his fossil collecting and exhibits company, Triebold Paleontology INC., in 1989 seven years after he began to seriously pursue fossil collecting. The company quickly became recognized as providing some of the highest quality prepared fossil specimens in the industry with exhibits created for institutions around the world. Since its founding, the company has rapidly expanded to offer everything from industry leading 3D scanning and printing services, traveling exhibits, and a giftshop division among other projects. In 2004 the Dinosaur Resource Center was opened in Woodland Park, Colorado, to provide a public showcase of TPI's work. 1982 Mike begins serious collecting fossils. 1989 Triebold Paleontology INC. is established as a fossil collecting and exhibits company. 1994 Mike discovered the first Pachycephalosaurus specimen with a body, with about 50% of the bones present. 2003 Mike discovered the world's first and only complete, intact skeleton of Protosphyraena pernicosa . 2004 The Dinosaur Resource Center is founded in Woodland Park, Colorado. 2006 Mike discovered the first Lancian mammal skeleton, Didelphodon . 2022 The TPI field team discovered a large juvenile T. rex specimen, dubbed Valerie. The displays are supplemented with vibrant graphics and life restoration sculptures to help you visualize these fascinating animals and the environments in which they lived. LIVE VIEWS OF A WORKING PALEONTOLOGY LAB Visitors can read the stories of each specimen and view a working fossil laboratory where important recently discovered specimens are being freed from their rock matrix and undergoing restoration. NEW DISCOVERIES MADE DAILY Every year members of our staff venture into the field to discover and excavate Cretaceous period fossils. We have made some remarkable discoveries such as the most complete Pteranodon specimen, the most complete Pachycephalosaurus specimen, and one of the largest Tylosaurs ever discovered, just to name a few. Tours must be scheduled at least 1 week in advance. Admission prices for groups of 10 or more: Adults: $9.00 Children 5 – 12: $6.00 4 and under: $3.50 One adult per 10 children accompanying children groups is FREE. Each additional adult will pay adult group rate. Large groups will be split up into smaller groups of 20-25 and last approximately 2 hours after which the group may re-visit the exhibit areas at their leisure. Transportation drivers are entitled to complimentary admission. School Tours School Tours With over 30 specimens and a number of hands on exhibits, your class will be given the latest dinosaur information from the people who find them! School Tours Pricing: Students Over 5 yrs Old: $6.00 each Students Under 5 yrs Old: $3.50 Additional Adults: $9.00 each Chaperones: 1 free adult per 10 students and transportation drivers are free. And see fossils prepared in our lab!
